This is a serious problem in our economy. The worst part, try being a single mother in a low wage job and figure out how to make this work with no help. There are millions out there facing this every day but it is more important to give millions back to rich people than to help

Low income? It may benefit all to look into why someone is poor instead of simply applying the word poor to someone. Forsaking high school, God, higher learning, reading, fasting, prayer, giving, healthy diet, love etc can do it. No anger, just a look into some common triggers

Dealing with it now. I’ve had to figure out what to do with my son every week since school ended. Summer camp is extremely expensive. It’s been a stressful experience to say the least.

It amazes me when I hear parents fret about the summer, what were they doing the other 3/4 of the year?!?!

Uh, probably using before care and after care—which tho not cheap, is doable for middle class, but not working poor. Summmer is a different ballgame. it’s expensive (my city is $250/wk, basic day camp). And many daycamps begin after 9 and end at 3, which isn’t doable for most.

My parents brought up 5 kids, we kayaked, sailed, hiked, cycled, camped, and did most things for free or on a really low budget, together as a family. Who are these parents putting their kids in day camps?! That's not family!

If you want fewer abortions, then you better help the single moms and low income families to take care of their children!

That's where family is meant to help. Not government. We, with the help of the other grandparents, watched 4 grandkids, taken to and from school for 10 years. Saved the parents tons.
