“So many people think they know me,” says Cynthia Nixon, the actress-turned-candidate for governor of New York, in a Times profile. “They know one slice of me.”https://nyti.ms/2AlNK8C

Good. Please run for the state assembly or a local position so we can get to know you from a political point of view. Good ideas and celebrity alone do not entitle you or anyone else to the highest executive office in the state.

Quote- "But she is also a figure with effectively zero government or executive experience asking voters to make her New York’s chief government executive, giving pause even to some who generally agree with her."

I used to shop in Macy’s and every time I’d go there I would think about all the ways it could be better. And as something of a retail maven, I might even think I could run the place, but I would be wrong. No one hire me to do so and they would be right not to. 1/

Large corporations and even small ones, don’t hire people to run their companies who don’t have experience. NY has a GDP of $1.5 trillion, on a par with Canada’s. Just as Nixon isn’t Prime Minister material, she’s not qualified to be governor of NY. 2/

Cynthia Nixon should be running for the NYS Assembly.

I agree. She doesn't have the legislative experience for Governor. Also she has a better shot at winning NYC Council or State Assembly seat. It would give her the experience needed for higher office.

Cynthia Nixon thinks that legalization of marijuana should be considered reparations for years of slavery. She is a racist faux-liberal.

They the people might know one slice of you Cynthia However what comes out of your mouth compliments what you see and what you stand for. Socialism is ridiculous and extreme especially if you’ve never lived in a socialist/communist existence.

Running for political office as a celebrity is a disadvantage .nyc governor is a full time job she needs more experience which she doesn't have any run for a smaller position in as a city official in her district
