We had the Thomas Fire last year and Redding came down to help us. We're now organizing to return the favor. #interdependence

I am choking on the smoke! The West Coast with it's Liberal Land Management policies need to wise up! More trees/animals die because of them. Go back to the way things were and the fires will greatly decrease.

When Clinton was in office the National Parks were manned. Fire towers were operating. Forest Rangers did more than supply toilets w/tp. Bush came in and ripped all the funding away. No more manned fire towers. No more funds for Forest Rangers. 44 was 🛑 by GOP. 45 EXPLOIT IT ALL

I don't care who did it and many of the policies happen on a state level, CA, OR and WA are all liberal states that pay more attention to tree huggers wailing at the sky over a pulled weed than common sense.

Speaking of research - This was written by screenwriter Ted Perry in the 70's and is from a movie. Not the words of Chief Seattle. It is demeaning to Seattle's noble history to promote this well-known fiction.

Like a true professional victim, they won't take yes for an answer. Once they shout, "Hate!" they cease to hear. I praised Seattle, and long ago read the several "recollections"of his speech. But self-styled victims like it simple: Their way or Hate! Nazi! Ignorant!

This man started a different fire. The Carr Fire up north was caused by a fluke accident with a vehicle.

Many other fires in the state are having no problem declaring arson. This one was not though. Coming from someone who just evacuated the city where this is taking place.

Yes, and not just CA. It’s the result of Global Warming, so far! It’s actually every western state. AZ has been in a drought for 23 years! More of our forests burn every single summer. More and larger fires.

Wait, so there isno human element to it? Global warming is causing grass to be super dry and then it catches fire from natures heat?

There’s a huge human element. I have no idea what your tweet means but humans have caused drought and rising temperatures in the West. This year is the hottest year in history for the entire planet.
