It's called dark money for a reason: It's hard to trace. But millions of it were spent to kill the Affordable Care Act.https://nyti.ms/2LDVmYx

Billionaires spending millions to make sure poor people...don’t have health insurance. It is absolutely sick and immoral what they are doing. Health care should be a right. #MedicareForAll

The Jane Mayer book is eye-opening. The most frightening part of dark money is the dissemination of Dark Ideas and the undermining of democracy.

Its not really stealth, the funds stolen from the US Treasury by illicit GOP tax cuts goes to GOP Billionaire political hobbiests to screw with our Democracy Every move by GOP is made specifically to screw us out of our health care, medicare, social security, and human dignity.

The more exposés of dark money, its sources, and the evil uses to which it is being put, the less impact it will have. For once, the NYT has done something right.

I wonder how much of that was to kill a bill they genuinely thought wouldn't fix anything, vs how many just didn't want Obama to have a win. Obstructionists, pure and simple.

I know you're a gigantic news org with vast resources and stuff, but uhhhh... You guys are bad at this. This is not news. I know you've known about this for a long time and I know stories about it have been killed. Until you didn't have a choice.

True however you’re forgetting that credible news outlets do their homework, check and recheck their sources, and then go through legal all before publishing. It’s not enough to know cause you know. Plus, it’s the age of “Fake News” when the story is unfavourable to billionaires.
