Nutrition scientists have long debated the best diet for optimal health. But now some experts believe that it’s not just what we eat, but when we eat it.https://nyti.ms/2OiGA7K

I’ve not read it, but let me guess. Eat food that’s not garbage. Eat meals rather than snacks. Don’t put too much food on your plate, else you’ll feel you’ve gotta eat all of it. Did I miss anything (I understand I might’ve missed somethings).

Good guess, but no. According to the article time restriction made a difference when calorie quality and quantity was controlled.

Similar claims have been made in the past but the science has not supported them beyond expected weight loss due to people eating less on basis of time restrictions.

I avoid late night snacking and wait for the post bar early morning pizza. Front loading my day is critical.

I remember my uncle saying “these ‘they’ people keep coming up with all kinds of rules for food. Butter is good for you, butter is bad for you, no it’s good for you again. Me? I just eat it. Not too much. Not too late. Try to eat as fresh and living food as I can.”

This is the diet requested in Islam : to eat at the time of the 5 daily prayers , starting with dawn , noon, afternoon , and early evening ! 3 meals and 2 snacks ! We don’t live to eat but we eat in order for us to live . And let’s not forget the importance of Islamic fasting
