Baba Ramdev is more powerful than any prime minister. He may be a wholly new breed: a populist tycoon, protected from critics by a vast following and a claim to holy purpose.https://nyti.ms/2Oldx3E

The train was set on fire, 59 pilgrim burnt alive.~100 were involved and about 20 were convicted. Modi was accused of not being able to contain the riot as CM. He had taken quick action&his pleas for police assistance from neighbouring congress ruled states were rejected.

So the columnist cannot say that the train "caught" fire and continue building their castle of propaganda.

Absolute racist, colonialist and hinduphobic piece. many issues of bigotry in article, including many lies and misunderstandings. For example in headline u call him populist? Hes a hindu guru. Is the Pope Populist? Is the supreme imam of SA populist? 1/2

2/2 u mention yoga was founded in the ancient hindu yoga texts, BUT claim texts didnt hav much poses. U should know Hinduism ints based only on scriptures, but art and oral passing of knowledge. Many swamis learnt over generations and 1000+yr old temples have poses carved in them

An article fully of half truths and out right lies. 'a train carrying some Hindu pilgrims caught fire.' How did it catch fire? Yoga is 20 century creation? Another lie. There is no call for building temples on medieval mosque but on sites which had temples which were destroyed.

'ayurvedic products contain toxic levels of heavy metals, usually from soil or ash, in the mix' what a lie. Turmeric and Brahami are widespread in West now these are ayurvedic medicines too. Illegal Bangladeshi immigrants being identified in Assam are not 'muslim residents'.

He's more powerful than a PM, NYT writes. This is nothing but a hit-job! Demonizing the man who has done so much for India & the world for whoever seeks yoga&ayurveda, inexpensive and effective. If Patanjali is a danger to anything, its the western food industry & Big-Pharma!

So many half truths and lies. What has happened to the editorial team? Absolutely zero fact checks? Looks like propaganda was decided first and piece written to fit it. Looks like #CambridgeAnalytical hired by @INCIndia & @RahulGandhi are on global #fakenews phase.

"It's frightening how easily the uninformed & ignorant people" in the West are without realising they read an article from western media which has no clue or in a mission to break India to loot the resources, convert people deceitfully into their so called only true religion.
