As a millennial, I don't see the point in having children. I'm weighed down in student debt, global climate change is accelerating, income inequality is growing... I wouldn't want to put my child thru this hell.

There is no good reason to have children other than if you want to exponentially increase the amount of love you both give and receive.

Some people should never have kids but do anyway.

Lot of work but really they have no idea what it’s like to have a child-difficult to understand until a parent!! Missed out!

With or without kids no one should have regrets

Not. One. Single. Regret. As a matter of fact, I experience occasional doses of "
-Ahhhhh" whenever I see a Mom/Dad having some sort of difficulty with their child; I can't help but think to myself...
-"Whew, dodged THAT bullet." -
Keep living. I wouldn't want to be elderly and alone in this country.
-
Yep, "Keep living." Thru no effort, nor even decision of my own...I wake up, and having awakened to yet another day, I just go thru my routine; which, Mon.-Fri. is to fulfill my work obligations. Sat. & Sun., I do the best I can to "live" as joyfully as [
-legally] possible. -
I suppose there's a degree of happiness from parenting that I'll never know (having NEVER fathered children), but looking back thru my life thus far, I'm quite happy & grateful that I didn't ADD to [my] life's challenges by also taking on the challenges of 1, 2, 4 or more lives.

Love, marriage and the baby carriage is societal programming that has been going on for centuries. The influence upon children during formative years creates a mindset; not dissimilar to religion, racism or political party. Independent thought of these platforms rarely exists.

It's tough with so much influence and peer pressure around them. I've been divorced for 16 years, and dammit, I've NEVER been happier in my life! The power of autonomy in one's life is absolutely exhilarating!

My children have been the greatest joy of my life. That's their choice and I respect it but knowing I brought love into this world and learned there's more to life than "me" did something so profound to my heart and my very existence that mere words cannot describe.

If you're old and 'don't have regrets,' you're probably a Trump voter.
