The Department of Veterans Affairs has largely said no to medical marijuana. Nearly a million veterans may be using it anyway.https://nyti.ms/2LAhzXj

I know more veterans that smoke weed than veterans who don't. It helps with the terrible dreams. It helps for longer and more satisfying sleep. It helps with PTSD-related anger. It helps in that it is a better alternative to alcohol and other harder substances. #LegalizeIt

I see the ways that it helps veterans first-hand on a very regular basis, and prescribing medical marijuana for vets would go a LONG way towards helping these people cope with post-service civilian life a little easier. All with zero harm done to anybody.

If marijuana helps these guys in any way then congress has to intervein and allow Veteran Affairs to persue the use. Republicans abuse our military for every bullshit war they create but never follow through with depression, injuries and suicides that comes with wars.

Yes, several vets I know use weed for pain relief, to great and inexpensive effect. No thanks to the VA.

Using marijuana can help stop bad dreams, or dreaming at all, which really helps when you're going through or have been through - a traumatic situation. I know. It does help.

The VA should be the test run for the single-payer system. The government shouldn't be in the hospital business outside of the active military. Vets would get better, local care. They deserve it.

Clarification: When they get a blood test, it includes testing for marijuana. My point is, IF it costs more, and there’s no reason to think it wouldn’t, they’re using that money to test rather than dispense.
