Why not be comfortable with PROGRESSIVE?

Because progressive is a limp dicked term from the 80’s when Reagan made “liberal” a dirty word. It’s an abandonment of Democratic identity because Ronnie said government is the problem so: “oh no, we’re not liberals, we’re PROGRESSIVE!!!” I’m a damn liberal, not a progressive.

While the Republicans close ranks around their own who committed sexual assault, Gillibrand threw one of ours away for a bad joke amongst comedians and got nothing in return, just one less warrior we need to fight for us! @SenAlFrank

And what was the worst of his transgressions against them? Did he use his position as a comedian to elicit sex, promote those that complied & punish those that didn’t?

Groping them, kissing them without their consent. Sexual harassment isn’t a scale, it’s either you harassed them or you didn’t, and he did. He displayed a pattern of behavior with women. Zero tolerance means ZERO tolerance, either we are against harassment or we aren’t.

I agree with you about zero tolerance, but since @SenAlFrank disputed some of these accounts, when the woman who brought this to light is on film grabbing Robin Williams’ ass & more on that same tour, this isn’t black and white and Al was entitled to his Senate ethics hearing.

Then he should have sat through it. Bob Menendez survived an ethics hearing fine, he’s a safe bet for re-election and all. If Franken wanted to be absolved, he should have waited it out.

I think he was pressured by Gillibrand & Co. to resign, but you’re right he should have stuck it out.
