        False. Having worked a non union job, I can flat out tell you I've made half what I made on a union teaching position and had more protection from unfair policies and teaching conditions.

        That is absolutely correct. I can attest to that. Unions are under attack right now. Weak unions will lead to lowering of wages, benefits and working conditions. Public schools are so important to continuing our democracy. Without them, education will be for only the elite.
