This is to a point that @davidhogg111 and @Emma4Change have made, that more guns don't make us save. Did you know that in shoot-outs 80% of police shots do NOT hit their target? Yes, Google it! Trained pros MISS 80% OF THE TIME!

"fired a bullet that killed" is an awfully long (and dishonest way) to say killed.

Makes it sound like the bullet was fired, and it subsequently of its own accord killed someone

It’s past due time to retrain police and offer them an alternative perspective on effectiveness carrying out the law. Life isn’t a video game or online university class.

Police have been screaming for years. Please encourage legislation for additional funding to extend academy training and annual qualifications. Let me know when you get traction with your political servants. Artist/Muscian correct? Surely you have “been there”.

Phil, I'm with the first half.of your statement. The unnecessary snarkiness, no, but all of my police friends agree that they need new training

There are no panaceas and legislative solutions. Humans are animals—they unfortunately kill. Guns, knives and other objects. The idea is to kill them, before they kill us. Sad really, but that’s the way it is. Good luck, be safe...be sure to run and hide. We got you.

Sadly they find a way ie “truck into crowd” scenarios being used in the EU (or crock pots in Boston). There is no legislation, no object ban, and no policy that will ever alleviate a determined animal—see Chicago and Brussels. I understand and have empathy for your point. Peace

Guys at Pulse (armed) lived to tell. Assault weapons were banned long ago. Background checks and extreme reluctance to issue exists in most democratically run states and show no impact. We have psychos in our mix coupled with active terrorist cells.
