Thousands of people were supposed to start receiving Medicaid in Maine after voters approved an expansion. But Maine's governor has ignored the binding vote and refused.https://nyti.ms/2LFEkJD

Another instance of state sanctioned malevolence, insubordination and incompetence. No matter what the people vote, political leaders can choose to ignore, stall, deny or find excuses not to implement. Smh. #democracyfail

LePage is pure slime in the mold of trump. I am sorry for the citizens of Maine (and the US).

Interesting test case for what'll happen with @POTUS when the shit hits the fan. My intuition is that this'll cement the precedent that might makes; those in power can pick and choose their laws. What good is #RuleOfLaw if the people in charge don't have to abide by it?

Eliot Cutler and all the idiots in Maine who voted for him instead of the Democratic candidates in the last two gubernatorial elections are partially to blame for LePage being in office in the first place.

Very simple. Implement the approved expansion or resign because you cannot fulfill your duties as governor. Or Maine could save time and impeach.

There are too many politicians who ignore or just wont do what the public wants and/or have voted for. We are becoming the Roman Empire. It fell.
