I am confused. @bradplumer, could you explain the reasoning behind not mentioning climate change in this article?

it’s mentioned in the second paragraph and several other places in the piece as well

Hey, you're right, sorry. They seem (to me) to be extremely quiet mentions, though, within the structure and logical flow of the piece. @mtobis, if you were editor, how would you have shaped this?

I started writing a book about that question, but I doubt whether enough folks would read it to make it worth the effort. I do think it's interesting enough that an unpopular pop science book could be written about it. Short answer: it depends, but July 2018 to me tips the scales

I would think July 2018 suffices to make climate change be a front page news story worldwide. ( Some may recall I'm one who did NOT want the connection made strongly for hurricane Harvey. This is different. )

Yes, but reading that article, if you could edit it, what would you make the first and last paragraphs say?

@bradplumer Heat retention, unlike reflection, is worse with white roofs than black. A black surface emits, as well as absorbs, heat better than a white surface. An ideal roof would be white during the day and black at night!

Why is UN & Int'l community silent in the face of another Rwanda-type #GENOCIDES ongoing in #SouthernCAMEROONS? Why the hypocrisy and lack of moral authority? There is no union treaty between the 2 Cameroons, thus their union is illegal, UN Charter article 102 & 103. #REFERENDUM

#USA,if UN resolution 181 of UNGA applied for #ISREAL, USA so much support today. The UN Resolutions 1608(XV) of UNGA of 21st April 1961 should also be respected for #SouthernCameroons of which USA voted YES. UN charter article 102 & 103 renders any union of the 2Cameroons void.

#Southerncameroons wants a referendum. UN,France & UK the unrepentant Judas Iscariot should stop playing the game of interests.#StopTheGenocidesInSouthernCameroons.Where then is the moral authority of USA in this ongoing genocides in #SouthernCameroons? by the 86yrs tyrant #Biya

If the UN & Int'l community is not evil and full of dishonesty, how can they sit and watch another Rwanda-typed genocides going on,& being carried out by an 85yrs dictator, in power for 36yrs? Hypocrites! & they fully know the union of 2 cameroons is illegal with no union treaty

Why is the Int'l community & the UN so afraid of conducting a simple referendum in#SouthernCameroons, when they fully know the union of the 2 Cameroons is illegal according to UN Charter article 102 &103?Just simply because of self interests of France.where is the moral authority?
