Why is it so hard to understand it's not that "we" don't care about kids, it's that #gun laws will do NOTHING to solve the problem. Kids weren't shooting up schools 247 prior to Columbine 1999, despite access to guns. Even w gun clubs on campus once upon a time. Explore THAT.

It reminds me of OJ talking about looking for the real killer. Smh. Society and the culture of public school is the real killer. Gun violence is just a symptom of it. You have to get to the ROOT to solve the problem. Taking #guns away just creates a vacuum. Wake up. Get real.

Golda Meir once memorably said 'When you love your children more than you hate your enemies, we shall have peace.' To which add: 'When you love your children more than you love your guns, your children will live.'

What a load false dichotomy. Your logical fallacy gives the impression that these are the only two choices, as if people who support the 2nd amendment hate children, and want them all slaughtered. It's weak and lazy, and displays a lack of critical thinking skills.

Our NRA owned politicians let it be known that the lives of children do not matter when it comes to even sensible gun control. We turned a corner at Sandy Hook when we let all of those innocent young children be slaughtered and we did nothing. The cause was lost then.

Utter rubbish! I have best friends that are Avid gun collectors, and they keep them in saves. They have and love their children. It's not a one or the other choice. False equivalency

Any suggestions for lowering our child mortality rates due to guns? I live in Spain part of the year and I have to tell you, school shootings and accidental deaths are something they don’t have to worry about nearly as much.

YES, DISCIPLINE AT HOME. I grew up with LOADED guns in the house. Knew that my parents would beat my ass if I *touched* them. My Sister and I never went near them. (And I mean LITERALLY beat my ass). My parents were not my friends, I feared and respected them. We knew the limits

I never beat my kids and they didn’t go near guns. 53 countries in the world have banned the beating of kids, Spain being one of them. There’s surely other conflict resolution skills besides beating people that can make a difference in the evolution of societies.

the problem exists when in a 'free society' an individual can go rather unnoticed at will or through numerous rejections to fester mental rage that builds and builds until one day he goes off, he turns into a super villain who has lost the plot, but he sees himself as the Batman

A novelist has a lot of flexibility of expression, there is no one right way to explore a topic. Writing is often an exploration.

DNC's Hitlerian use of children as political pawns is disgusting. It's always "für Die Kinder", despite death tolls (since Roe v Wade) that would've made Heydrich green with envy.

You liberals took away the punishment you want to blame it on an Inert object start punishing the criminal appropriately instead of making some kind a hero out of him on the Internet and TV and you start protecting our children like you protect your money or Hollywood
