Am I to understand from this that the PARENTS should have been more careful?! This negligence on the part of the day care centre employees is not only preventable, it's CRIMINAL.

What the hell is the hiring process for these individuals? Wasn’t there just a lady that tried to hang a kid at a daycare? I mean it’s hot out and you’re gonna leave a kid in the vehicle? Have some gosh damn common sense.

There is not much requirement for getting a job at a daycare center & the pay is horrible most of these people don't have a passion for working with kids they just need a job... so sad that baby hat to lose his life 😕

Yes, but I assume, that these employees now thaat, but this kid was black, so they didn't give a fuck about this, because they are racist Trumpsters wearing #MAGA hats.

I'm sure it had nothing to do with this child being black!! Complete negligence on the workers part..So sad.

But maybe his race had something to do with it in an indirect way, that his parents probably hadn't enough economic and educational oppurtunities as white parents have and so they couldn't afford the good day care centers.

I absolutely get how a parent could leave their child in a car... but I cannot accept that a day care does not have protocols to prevent this sort of tragedy. It's as simple as taking roll.

I would like to see cars designed such that if living weight is detected in any seat, the windows automatically roll down when the temp reaches a certain point, & if the car isn't unlocked & started before it reaches a second alarm point, the horn starts signaling distress.

It absolutely could though. There's no reason for it not to be doable. Cars keep time & mileage when turned off, don't they? They can run the radio & fan off just the battery, can't they? We've been to outer space and are on the verge of cloning hippos, this isn't that hard.

hahaha...well the thing is it's doable but are manufacturers willing to go that extra length for freak accidents like this also there are plenty of other weighty objects that can be in a car.

so basically you need tech to make sure it's a human and not just mass. And that means it can't be done using merely a weight gauge or temp.

I am familiar with accelerometer ... I don't see how that could be employed in a car when the engines off tbh.
