I've had one root canal in my life. I deliberately scheduled it for Inauguration Day 2017. I always said I would rather have a root canal than watch Twitler be sworn in, and I am a woman of my word.

Don't feel sorry about the root canal. It cost me a fortune, was very uncomfortable, took 4 hours, and I still had a better day than if I had watched the inauguration.

Do people usually charge money for book signings? I thought the idea was, buy the book, wait in line, get autograph.

Correction- little didn’t we know what wasn’t in store. Just to clear that up. Unless you meant the opposite which in case is also true.
