The trip to Kansas is a critical test for whether Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and her Bronx-born brand of Democratic socialism resonate in the heartlandhttps://nyti.ms/2zWBESW

If Democrats could get over this strange fascination with the word "socialism", they could clean up in the midterms. Democratic Capitalism is what most people believe in, it's what made our country great, and we have slipped away from it, in many different ways.

Is that why dems lost over 1,000 seats under Obama? Because people believe in Democratic Capitalism. Just asking...

I believe Blake's point is that since Clinton, we've turned out back on it and a return to it would bring the blue wave so many hope for.

Gosh I wonder, seeing as in 1912 socialists swept most of the county offices in Crawford County.

Y’all are behaving as though socialism is an East Coast liberal phenomenon, instead of something that was once very popular in the Midwest.

And y’all are acting like midwestern socialism just went away on its own and wasn’t actively and often violent suppressed after WWI.

Democratic socialism does not exist. It is what is being doing in Venezuela and here in Brazil. And it totally fails. Don't be fooled.

She's not campaigning for president. You have to be 35 to take office and she's 28, will only be 30 in 2020.
