Actually, the problem pre-dates Trump. The lack of regulation is part of western farm and ranch ideology. Trump makes the problem worse,

It takes tremendous arrogance to build a huge metropolis and industrial farms in a state that averages 8 inches of rainfall of year.

On the right- especially in Arizona- if it makes money at the taxpayers expense it’s good. No one cares about destruction of the earth. #greed

Did they get the jobs or the increased tourism or whatever they sold their water for? That's how this works. Conservatives come up with all these benefits to snow people into not thinking they need regulations. Somebody voted for this, or didn't object when their reps did.

That'll start a skirmish. Water is the lifeblood of civilization. But government corruption leads to laws that harm citizens for profits that cross county and state lines, instead of being reinvested in the community itself. Sucking up the water reserved for the people is trouble

Isn't the lack of regulation, or deregulation great?! The conservative agenda only favors businesses at the expense of everyone else.
