More movies and TV shows are incorporating police violence into their stories. Sometimes, it’s cathartic. Other times it feels exploitative.https://nyti.ms/2uAw6Zi

Please also consider the exploitative & deeply troubling featuring of rape and sexual violence against women in some of today's most popular shows (e.g. Handmaiden's Tale, Game of Thrones, Westworld, etc). Does it make us truly contemplate problems in society, or perpetuate them?

Everything becomes trendy in Hollywood...especially when it 'works.' But what is Hollywood doing to combat police brutality is my question?

I’m far more frightened by the idea that some could be so weak minded as to allow written fantasy to influence their ideology and behavior.

In real life, racist Obama came to Dallas and blamed white people and white police, for a black man who said his objective was to kill white cops. Obama's repeated message to blacks was that white man's laws were not laws to be obeyed and arrest should be voluntary.pic.twitter.com/HaVRkopxwI

Talented writing and acting make for great watching. Trouble is fans and followers confuse someone's ability to bring to screen a compelling story with accuracy.
