The NFL can’t seem to get away from the divisive national anthem issue. Here’s what we know.https://nyti.ms/2zWefkK

It's a first amendment right and peaceful protest......But the same people who condemn this are the same ones who wont stand against racists flying the confederate flag.

You have the right to say whatever you want Businesses also have the right to fire you if they don't like what you say while you're at work I'd tone down the sweeping stereotypes as well. I condem this because I buried 10 men and 1 woman under this flag

Hi Matthew, I appreciate your view. I am not a veteran so I would not be able to fully understand what you had to deal with. My view is this is absolutely about racial injustice in this country. I do wish that the protest could have happened differently but it's where we are.

Thank you ma'am It was initially framed as a protest against African Americans being killed by the police. Now I have no idea what it has morphed into Black on black crime is the true tragedy in this country and if they want to fix something they should start there

Any crime is a tragedy, but black on black crime is no different than white on white crime. Black on black crime is not racially motivated. But anyway, thank you for a civil debate.

My point being that police involved shootings are a decimal point rounding error compared to African American violence on each other. Search the FBI crime statistics and it is absolutely horrific The issue they were allegedly protesting is extremely rare

Kneeling = most humble show of respect everywhere in the world...people kneel for kings, popes, respected heroes and even despots. Standing is an act of defiance ,not deference. NFL players are showing respect for the past sacrifices made by others, black, white and in between.

The NFL can do one of two things: 1. Stop playing the fucking National Anthem; 2. Start respecting the fucking players. Or... both.

NFL should just scrap the national anthem all together. No use playing it if you are going to allow people to use it against fans to push an anti-American, racist agenda. NFL will slowly crumble. It will be fun to see.

I don’t see any problem of these men kneeling. They have good hearts for their team and families. This is enough. Plus they are serious under the anthem.

The players work for a private business & the owners can decide they don't want their employees to protest while they're on the clock. Your boss can do the same thing & there's nothing you can do about it other than quit.
