Be careful what you vote for, you just might get it.

Easy for you to say city girl, rural hospitals closed all around us during Obama
-
I grew up in Wray, CO. Rural and as republican as you get. I have family members suffering. Obama tried to help.

They just announced the closing of the maternity ward in the hospital I was born in, in a rural area in Connecticut. Closest alternative is 45 minutes away. No one in town, not even the doctors, knew this was happening in advance.

Well, the soybean crop isn’t going to help this year is it. Trump voters getting theirs.

I’d feel bad for them…but they continue to vote for it so I guess that’s what they want.
-
Not everyone affected votes for it... Some just get stuck with it because they are the minority voice in the region.

Fair point…but it wasn’t even close in ID. I just checked the numbers: 60% voted for DJT and 28% for HRC.
-
Sadly, yes... I bet you know which camp I'm in!

You do realize massive closures of rural hospitals occurred during obama years
-
Its a long decline. In 1975, there were 7,156 hospitals (1.5M beds), Since 2000, its fallen from over 5,800 to less than 5,600, (900,000 beds in 2015).

ACA isn't perfect, but GOP is making it worse. ACA brought health insurance to me for the first time in more than 30 years - and I'm healthy (and haven't been sick in 30 years!)
-
ACA did a few great things: raised age kids could be on parents plans, removed preexisting exclusions, limited rate-ups by carriers. Those changes should not be rolled back. They protect many Americans.

Imagine, if these states just expanded Medicare, or voted for candidates who support the social safety net instead of those who gut it. Just imagine.

Imagine if there was a president, and a party that promised to do EXACTLY that. Expand that "safety net". imagine.pic.twitter.com/a0YLYU2uzF

My apologies DC. If you live in
#Arlington THIS is so much more appropriate.pic.twitter.com/S8tjyEsAiF

It is appropriate since the Trumpers moved in. Talk about, “There goes the neighborhood!”
