I grew up in Wray, CO. Rural and as republican as you get. I have family members suffering. Obama tried to help.

They just announced the closing of the maternity ward in the hospital I was born in, in a rural area in Connecticut. Closest alternative is 45 minutes away. No one in town, not even the doctors, knew this was happening in advance.

Not everyone affected votes for it... Some just get stuck with it because they are the minority voice in the region.

Fair point…but it wasn’t even close in ID. I just checked the numbers: 60% voted for DJT and 28% for HRC.

Its a long decline. In 1975, there were 7,156 hospitals (1.5M beds), Since 2000, its fallen from over 5,800 to less than 5,600, (900,000 beds in 2015).

ACA isn't perfect, but GOP is making it worse. ACA brought health insurance to me for the first time in more than 30 years - and I'm healthy (and haven't been sick in 30 years!)

ACA did a few great things: raised age kids could be on parents plans, removed preexisting exclusions, limited rate-ups by carriers. Those changes should not be rolled back. They protect many Americans.
