I'm Native. Here's literally the only line in this whole story that matters: “Navajo has over 70 percent unemployment,” Mr. Ryce wrote.

I can just hear the secret board meeting, “why would you want those drunken savages controlling a firearms company?”

Where'd they get all the dough? 3.3 billion? That's crazy. I like the idea of solving their own unemployment problem. Very smart. Of course, the giant corporations pulling Remington's strings rejected the offer. #TruthAllies

The Navajo Native American tribe tried to buy firearms maker Remington. The offer was rejected because the company felt the offer of $24 in colored beads was insufficient.

The New World was named America in 1507 by Martin Waldseemuller and Matthias Ringmann in honor of Amerigo Vespucci. The 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 is a country founded on the northern part 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚 in 1776. Hence the long form name: 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟pic.twitter.com/poz1hf9fdJ
