Yes they probably know but it is an inconvenient fact for them so as propagandists do they have affirmatively decided to ignore it or bury it. Costa Rica 🇨🇷 Amazing nation

Not much of a pledge when you're heavily reliant on imports of fuel. It isn't much of a choice.

All we're doing is removing public funds from investments in fossil fuels, we're not stopping using them. Maybe read the article before you start forming opinions from thin air.

I know what it's about. It's an utterly stupid policy. It's virtue signaling, but with the taxpayer's money instead of your own. Especially since they need and love fossil fuels for their own lifestyles

When the majority of tax payers want more investment in renewables instead of fossils in terms of actual infrastucture and the gov follows that, it's not virtue signalling, it's an example of the Gov doing what the people want. I know it's confusing for Americans

Bullspit. The majority of taxpayers have no clue what an investment portfolio is, let alone that the govt even has one. And renewables is a complete scam. If it were profitable, they'd already be invested in it. It's propping up bad stocks using taxpayer funds

I agree with your first point that most don't have a clue. With regards to profitability, most want the gov to stop investing in fossil fuels, if they have to take a financial hit to do that then so be it, it's more about investing in things which will make our world better.
