A country is NOT a business. Don’t ‘run’ it and ‘make deals’ but lead by example and make allies and partnerships.

I've been saying that for years and no one listens. The still insist to run it like a business and make a profit. Governments don't make profits. Taxes run the country. There isn't suppose to be money left over to pocket. It's peoples money.

Of course it can break. Power hates a vacuum, which is exactly what Trump’s populist isolationism has created. The world is witnessing the end of the Pax Americana (and the exposure of all our foibles) and the rise of a new world power....China.

Exactly. He sees partners as subordinates to be bullied and authoritarians as representing the power he wishes to achieve.

That's how a successful business works. Sorry NYT but you are playing the same game as ABC news. Trying to discourage Americans. Isn't working. We still like Trump.

Sorry Mary, but there is a reason why Trump is overseas representing the United States Of America. Americans love him. He is doing well. And if elections were today he would be re-elected. Perhaps you are still grieving Hillary's loss but that doesn't mean the rest of America is.
