We must now revisit the questions Karl Marx brought up over 150 years ago. How might we turn technology to create freedom instead of enslavement, societal happiness rather than societal oppression, internationalism rather than permanent and ever more destructive nationalism?

The arguments for a basic income ignore basic economics. If everyone is to be granted say an extra $100, then the prices of even the most basic of goods will also increase until that extra income that everyone is getting is cancelled out.

Main problem is that every time something is subsidised, prices rise negating the subsidy, the only way that UBI would work is for necessities to remain cheap, food, water, accommodation, electricity, gas, fuel, transport, communications. No specific subsidy on named things.

The most exciting part of a basic income would be the investments people could make in local businesses/co-ops. Instead of a traditional structure where the owner(s) & shareholders take most of the profit, investors would take a smaller amount & pay workers more.

I think they should change the law's concerning social security benefits that anyone 50 or over should be able to collect their social security benefits they worked for and not have to be disabled Mentally or physically. And also be allowed to work if they so choose.

Hmmm, let's see, Obama did this w/ welfare 4 almost everyone during his regime since he couldn't regenerate the economy altho he could bail out the Banks & now ppl no longer want 2 work. Do ya think he knew that would happen? I do.

Add that to the open borders policy the same people push and America pays for welfare for the entire world. Fuck that. We wealthy, but not that wealthy.

This is not news. It’s called discussing economic paradigms on a -firstly- academic level. So it can’t be “fake”.
