Exactly! Look at @SenSchumer struggle trying to get unity in opposing the Trumpy scotus pick This is what you get for your #VoteBlueNoMatterWho stance. The fact that they propped up Republican lite's is coming back to bite them as 1/4 of their "big tent" are in GOPs limo

And while Feinstein is maybe not the worst of these, she's pretty bad when it comes to self serving rich people choices and war How about real Change? How about truly defining what Democrats stand for? Jesus, have some guts for once or GOP will always walk over us FIGHT✊

Young “progressives” must learn lesson of 2016: You must support Democratic Party to retain experienced senators & representatives in the U.S. Congress so we gain majority control for laws we need on our freedom & protections! Otherwise we get 2 more dangerous years of DT!

Hahahahaha really?! Seems more like @TheDemocrats need to learn the “lesson of 2016”: burn the progressives and just keep losing. Status quo centrists don’t bring out the voters.

Fantastic. Following the lead that @Ocasio2018 set in NY and backing the young, progressive candidate. Exactly what we need to beat the Republicans, not more business-as-usual (it lost us 1000 seats), but fresh blood, new ideas, vision, and grass roots movements.

I hope support from the democratic party will not be a deciding factor in your vote. That would be reactionary. Deleon is clearly more progressive. This is an interesting choice for the democrats.

They're following the lead set by AOC in NY. Young, progressive candidates (like Perez said) "are the future of the Democratic Party". Fresh ideas are exactly what we need to win back the 1000 seats we lost under Feinstein and co.

Litmus tests are great. They define a party. For example, imagine a person running as a Democrat that was anti-abortion and was anti-environment. Would that be a Democrat? Anyway, the tide has turned and we have to have people that support the poor. People are paying attention.

I think this is the beginning of the back lash created by the old guard Dems snubbing of Bernie Sanders suppporters. If anything good comes from Trump’s WH it’s that a new young base is fired up. Let’s just hope people vote

2020 will depend a good deal on the reforms adopted by the DNC. They should get rid of superdelegates altogether, but changing the rules so their SD votes only matter in a tiebreaking situation, which is how they used to (falsely) advertise the role, may help.

I think 2016 also turned a lot of people's attention to the importance of downballot races, and not just flipping congress red to blue either. If Bernie had made it to the oval, corp. Dems & GOP would have tag-teamed him. Progressivizing congress is vital to helping a prog POTUS.
