It's not up to society. It's up to each Mom. My 3 kids drank formula and all turned out fine.
-
Not complicated at all. You either do, or dont, or some combination of the two.
-
What do you mean by "turned out fine"? Who spoke about your children? All mothers should support breastfeeding in general. Breastfeeding is the natural thing to do and when it is determined by nature is always best! It is not time to discuss personal choices, or personal regrets.
-
I'll support what I choose, thank you.

It's NOT complicated. Feed your baby in the way that works for you. Breast or bottle. Just feed your baby.

It's not complicated. In the first six months, the mother must commit to breastfeeding her baby. Then ask the doctor what is better for the baby.
-
Yes, have a physician confirm baby is growing adequately/meeting developmental markers. And, if everything is fine, then proceed at whatever pace/frequency that is comfortable for you/baby. Outside of that, a woman shouldn’t feel she needs “permission” from a physician.
-
Yeah, you're right.

Frankly...this should not be complicated! This is a CHOICE issue! Let’s keep everyone out of each other’s bodies...I find it interesting that so many of the women who shamed me for bottle feeding were VERY pro CHOICE women.

When did breastfeeding (ie feeding a baby) become controversial? Spoiler alert: Jesus (if he actually existed) was breastfed. ie ‘fed’ so that he survived.
-
When companies realised they couldn’t make a profit out of it.

Societal support is necessary for women be able to choose breastfeeding. In America: Have clean pump rooms at work. Don't arrest or discourage women from breastfeeding in public. Don't over sexualize breasts. My Dad is 90. Public breastfeeding disappeared in his lifetime. Why?
-
I always tucked my boob and baby under a light blanket. It shouldn't be illegal by any stretch of the imagination!

https://breastfeedingusa.org/content/article/nursing-public-what-us-mothers-faced-colonial-times-until … I breast fed in the 70's & 80's and also used a light blanket. I got some looks, but just looked back.

Although not illegal, some act as though it is.http://www.chicagotribune.com/suburbs/aurora-beacon-news/news/ct-abn-fox-valley-mall-protests-breastfeeding-stop-st-0715-story.html …

Thank you for including us in the history of infant feeding. It is time we focus on supporting every mom and every form of safe infant feeding that helps a child to thrive.
