Maybe it's because a lot of papers don't cover options without corruption creating a self-defeating cycle whereby qualified, transparent options get overlooked? Shooting from the hip here.

Many Americans fall for empty promises of corrupt candidates because they are ignorant and ill-informed. This is because they want simple solutions to difficult issues, want to blame someone else for their own problems (i.e. scape-goat immigrants) & only get their news from FOX.

Your extreme case of Trump Derangement Syndrome links corruption with the Trump administration but there was FAR more corruption associated with the Obama administration.

Exactly the same resignation voters in other parts of the world have. My Congolese friend voted for Kabila, because "he has filled his stomach already (corruption), he is no longer hungry".

Might've been nice if some of our major media would stop bothsidering corruption and instead state clearly when one side shows no verifiable evidence of being corrupt while the other has a demonstrable history of pay-to-play, nepotism, cronyism, and bad-faith negotiating...

That’s why Trump was elected, but it was to end it. And that’s what scares many democrats and republicans.
