Bette Nesmith Graham was a terrible typist. She was also an artist who observed that painters covered up mistakes not by erasing their work, but by painting over them. So she invented Liquid Paper.https://nyti.ms/2KQuMf0

Michael Nesmith opened ep 1 of his really funny tv show in 85 by saying: "The network told me I couldn't tell you that my mom invented Liquid Paper & that I had to take it out of the script." He then says "ok", holds up the script, uses Liquid Paper on it, & says "it's out".

She also happened to be Mike Nesmith's mom. I don't know if that fact is in the article or not, but—not to downplay her own achievements—you would think you would try to blurb that rather interesting fact to drum up page views, no? That's what Twitter is all about.
