I went to college. I worked while I went, borrowed as little as possible, and paid my loans off in 5 years. I have no sympathy for these fools to go out and borrow $100,000 to get an undergrad degree and then expect someone else to pay it off for them

100%. 18 credits a semester, worked 30+ hours on top of 15+ hours of lab work per week. Shared the crappiest apt. I could find and ate grilled cheese sandwiches for most meals 1st 2 years. It's a sacrifice and it's supposed to be! Investment in your future is on YOU.

Were you 45 yo with a family of 4, full time job with a wife holding up her career while you got the master’s you needed to change careers when your company died in a Bush recession? Stop thinking everyone is like you.

dear fellow #babyBoomers no matter how desperate we were to slice the american pie and reap the american riches ..... we should never have permitted this to happen to the education system of this place. Shame on us......shame

Education benefits an entire society, but the US makes it a point to PREVENT young people from studying by imposing economic barriers. That's an idiotic policy.

You still look at this from a very old student profile. Ask how many older students will carry heavy student loan debt into retirement b/c they returned to grad programs when job markets soured?

Youngest of 4 kids has been out of college 4 years...I’m still actively grateful that somehow we got them all through undergrad w/o loans. We drove some shitty cars and we sure didn’t travel much but we did it. Don’t ask me about my retirement plan. It doesn’t matter.

H had a really good plan for student debt. Someone should use it. It’s very well thought out. Here are the bullets of her plan. The details are still up on her website. It should be used as a boiler-plate for the future. Too bad media botched this election so badly. It’s sad.pic.twitter.com/Xw1xwTBSag

And now we’ve devolved to personal insults - a page straight out of the The Resistance playbook. You had every opportunity to be civil, but you are evidently an intolerable, immature human being whose ignorance know’s no limits. How unfortunate 🤷🏻‍♂️pic.twitter.com/zl2fpQDdaq
