"Everybody loves this story," Stephen Colbert said of the Thai cave rescue. "Are you listening, Mr. President? Freeing children makes people like you!"https://nyti.ms/2KQP2gN

But I don’t think those children and families were entering Thailand illegally.

Say it with me: Requesting asylum isn’t illegal. That wasn’t hard was it? Also, crossing illegally is a misdemeanor & does not warrant incarceration. It sure doesn’t justify separating families. If it did, you’d you be jailed the next time you were caught jaywalking.

@L8ShowColbert they were trapped in a naturally occurring rise of water. Taking your children illegally into the US isn’t the presidents fault, he deals with it like any countries leader would, arresting the parents for committing a crime? @realDonaldTrump

Well, most people. Decent people. Seems trump’s base is pretty down with hurting children, tearing families apart, crimes against humanity.

Trump's base likes him for not freeing children! Hopefully that will result in a #BlueWaveComing2018

Trump could have single handily rescued all the boys and you would still make fun of him.

Unfortunately, incarcerating children of color also makes *some* people like you, and Trump is pandering to those people.
