The population of orca whales off the coast of Washington State is at a 30-year-low. The orcas are essentially starving, as their primary prey are also dying off.https://nyti.ms/2zk8X29

Too bad the kooks banned Orcas in Sea World. I predicted that the ones in captivity would be the only survivors of Fukishema.

I sincerely hope you don't think SeaWorld will save the Southern Resident Orca's. Throwing their change at the situation, and funding more studies, won't help. The Orca are starving. They need Salmon.

That's not what I am saying. When Fukishema happened, kooks were making Sea World stop breading Orcas thus, they will now cease to exist. They won but beware that one gets what one wants. Apex predators are the first sign of die off.pic.twitter.com/GT6JlJlaay

Seaworld’s orca breeding program contributed nothing to the conservation of wild populations, nevermind the SRKW in particular. Other populations of orcas are doing just fine (flourishing, even.)

Seaworld's breeding program cannot and will not save wild Orca. That was never the intention. They bred to stock their parks. Not the ocean. Apart from that, they bred hybrid orca, which cannot be mixed with wild populations.

Oh. So that's great if there is no extinction event. Time will tell and thank you for the better news. The animals are loved by me too, much for me to express. 🐋🐳🐬🌊💙

I have been whale watching there and learned a lot about their food source depleting. It’s an incredible site to see these whales in their habitat. Immediate action is needed.
