A very difficult read. Detailed in ways that you can smell the fire, feel the desert sun and hear the wind blowing. One of favorite reads of all time.

Read the book. Movie has nothing to do with the book. Seriously. Then read “In the skin of a lion”.

A terrific book but I can’t help but feel that other books might have fared better if they’d only had popular movies loosely based on them. Such as ‘The siege of Krishnapur’. Possibly not filmable but a masterpiece.
