There are schools inside the shelters and detention centers housing migrant children. The education offered is uneven and, for some, starkly inadequate.https://nyti.ms/2u3L35V

You see the vacant stares on the faces of the few kids being reunited, and read about the unwashed infant returned to its Mom with lice, and know there is real urgency here. It’s not that the gov’t can’t do it on the schedule, it’s that it won’t commit the resources it takes.

Apart from the fact that this shouldn’t have been allowed to happen in the first place. On top of that this government has no soul.

We need serious immigration overhaul. The Democrats have become the Open Borders Party and the Republicans aren’t much better.

Democrats aren’t an open borders party dumbass. We want to overhaul the immigration process but during the process we would like children to not be separated and put into kiddy jails ok. It’s not an all or nothing situation

It is quite amusing you don’t realize the Democrats support open borders. Further, the Democrats have given support to illegal immigrants thwarting our immigration laws but did not work to overhaul immigration processes when they had the majority. Stupid.

I find it so interesting how MSM is so concerned over these children education but has no concern for children that are US citizens. They aren't concerned with the US kids, who need food, cloths, education and housing. They aren't concerned about them being separated either.

matches most edu in the public schools systems of this country. I believe whole heartedly in taking care of these children but using it for political fodder while we ignore the hundreds of thousands in jail that can’t afford bail and whose children are in foster care is #hypocisy

Probably about the same or better than inner city schools throughout the Country. Walk a few blocks from the NYT offices to witness the travesty firsthand. Once the greatest public school system in the world!
