Hey scientists, how many UV rays make it through our atmosphere at 30k feet compared to sea level?

My other question would concern Radar. I know it's in the nose cone and projects forward, but any chance of...well leaking backwards, or bouncing off clouds, etc???

The atmosphere is thinner, and shallower from up there. There's less protection from stellar radiation.

You receieve about as much radiation from a round trip flight from East to West coast (from cosmic radiation) as a woman receives from a mammogram. You only get 1 mammogram/yr starting at 40. Now consider how many flights airline crew take in a career and this isn't surprising.
