There are schools inside the shelters and detention centers housing migrant children. The education offered is uneven and, for some, starkly inadequate.https://nyti.ms/2MSzV2P

What did you expect? A Harvard kindergarten for those kids?

I want to know if they have soap and water in those concentration camps for those kids. This is so bizarre that it's off the charts for the United States of America

In the Bazi concentration camps, millions of Jews were beaten and starved and killed in gas chambers after digging their own grave. You have no idea. This is not a concentration camp. Not even close.

Ok, so call it a JAIL or Prison. Call it whatever you like but we've got to help those people.

I get it, but what about helping the 436,000 kids currently in the foster care system who are also in "jail"/group homes w/o their parents. Same situation.

It's not the same situation. However the poor kids in foster care ( in our horribly broken system) need help too.

It’s very similar -housed in group homes like that of the inmigrant kids-get 1 garbage bag to hold all their possessions, taken away from parents...

And then don’t get me started about all the kids (citizens legal immigrants and immigrants) who are in failing NYC schools. Why doesn’t anyone care about these kids? The schools these immigrant kids are in are far better than the failing NYC schools. 😢😖

The school these immigrant kids in are far better than ... are you talking about the camps that the immigrate children are in? Because if so, you would be very very wrong.

So the story changed from "kids in cages" to "criminals are being separated" to now "the school they're getting in their native language isn't good enough" *fake outrage intensifies*

Unbelievable-our own children struggle to get a quality education & the NYT is concerned about illegal kids in migrant shelters? Anything they get is a gift & you never look a gift horse in the mouth.
