Another video of a white person calling the police on a black person for an everyday activity has surfaced. This time it was in North Carolina, and the caller was fired over the incident.https://nyti.ms/2KCiUND

The caller should have been arrested for making false reports. This sort of abuse of the system is endemic and disgusting. I'm so glad Sonoco had the moral fiber to fire Adam Bloom.

I agree. The police shouldn't have been so accommodating to him, making sure her pool card 'turned the light green' to make him happy, etc. No, they should have told him she had her key, to leave her alone, and knock it off. No one should put up with that kind of behavior.

For the terrible crime of asking someone for an id. I am asked for an id literally every day.

I think the issue is that she was the only one. If everyone had been asked to show an ID there’s no issue.

Good for #Sonoco! Thank you! The current administration has emboldened this abhorrent behavior. It should never be acceptable. We need to be constantly vigilant, call out the racists and shut them down EVERY TIME. Nice work, internet.

#IDAdam is sorry because of the fall out not because he is sorry for what he did because he didn’t apologize at the pool, when she asked

He didn’t even apologize afterward! “I’m so hurt that I in any way made another person feel small, maligned and called out,” he said, adding that he expressed his “sincere regret for the actions that I took that day.” 🙄🙄

👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 keep up the good work. Before long, all of the assholes will be fired for being assholes, and the good people of the world who would like to contribute to our communities and are genuinely seeking gainful employment, will be rewarded with good jobs

The guy was a supreme ass. When the woman produced her membership card to the pool, the police swiped it to confirm it was legitimate. The police then apologized to the woman and asked the man if there was anything more they could do. He said make her show you a picture ID.

Good. We should start actually charging them with misusing emergency phone numbers.

Well it technically is misusing it. It's not a legitimate "emergency"

Ok, the conclusion is: he should be charged with racial profiling and she charged for recording vertically.
