No it was her response that was snide and dismissive. Like her response about playing The Major. Dismissive and condescending with no willingness 2 accept/acknowledge that the part could have gone to someone that is transgender. Or at least looks like who she’s portraying.

Actors pretend to be someone and something they are not. It's literally their craft. This is absurd

She's an actress...she was presented a role of a story she wants to tell. If you aren't happy with the casting, troll the directors and producers, not actresses accepting roles.

She IS the producer of the movie and she cast herself without auditioning anyone trans. That is some BS. She is responsible for this.

She’s doing to trans acting talent what the Trump admin is doing to babies. She’s no ally of the queer community.

By that logic then gay people shouldn’t play straight roles anymore. It works both ways, or it doesn’t.

Um....no the best actor for the role deserves the role..... Just like the best resume gets the job... Sexual orientation and skin color is is not judging by the content of there work but by their genitals and skin color.

Yes. If it's really about casting the best person for the role, then statistically, there'd be some openly trans folks playing cis roles.

See, that's my point. Hollywood isn't giving trans actors the chance they deserve.
