The U.S. border patrol has been stopping Canadian fishing boats off the coast of Maine. “There is no illegal immigration going on there,” a Canadian fisherman said. “It seems silly.”https://nyti.ms/2tZd8Lt

What are we going to do-start a war with Canada? What the hell is wrong with Mathis and everyone else to Allow this? If trump wants to isolate US -he’s doing a damn fine job! This is just ignorant!

I’d say they’re checking for Americans running to Canada. Gawd knows most Canadians have more sense than to want to sneak into their country under this current Reich. Poor souls.. we should keep an eye out for them and make sure they make it here safely.

Seems like one of the pressure tactics cascaded from #Trump, a champion of harassment and bullying.

Does the USA have additional plans to go after Canada 🇨🇦? Trade wars , insults to our PM and now our fishermen. We live next door and know you are mighty but why pick on a peaceful neighbour? I am baffled that Americans are allowing this.

Did either of you read to the end. The u.s. fishermen said its been happening to them for years. The Canadian government flying planes 50 feet above them, plus patrol boats.

I did read it. Canada has been a best bud for the US. They fought with us when we needed them to. They are most like us in every way. I am sure there are better ways to deal with whatever issues or concerns we have without bullying and demeaning them or their leader

So as long as they mess with our fishermen everything is fine but the moment we do anything its our fault. Our Fishermen said its been happening to them for years.

Neither you nor I are in a position to make a judgment about fising rights in those waters. My concern is the hostile and demeaning rhetoric used by our President.
