"Some progressives seem to be pushing the narrative that Asians are not minorities, immigrants and people of color," said Assemblyman Ron Kim, a Democrat from Queens. And that's "even worse when done in the name of reform and social justice," he added.https://nyti.ms/2zeyLwG

Some progressives, elitist liberals promote what fits their biased agenda: “White privilege must be ashamed & brought down to help the poor and downtrodden.” Asians are a minority that succeeds in America. This does not fit their agenda. So they bend facts to fit their agenda.

The sad thing as with many groups the vocal extreme elitist progressives give progressives a bad name. Most progressives are wonderful people who care about everyone including Asians, etc. And so are most conservatives, it’s the loud extremists on both sides that bring the hate.

When I was a grad student,I wanted to research why new immigrants from certain Asian countries were so successful while immigrants from other regions were not. The school said “Asians are classified as white” and rejected the thesis...because they don’t fit the narrative.

Did you go to another school? That is discrimination. Many people throw all Asians into one group not thinking that there are a number of cultures. Your thesis would have been enlightening.

The DNC doesn't like people who are self reliant. Who don't 'need' them to survive. This is why illegals are so cherished by them. Democrats need a fresh supply of the underclass to fill their voter ranks.

Bc they not. Asians first of all differ greatly from Asian middle eastern to Asian Chinese. Asians also outnumber everyone else in the world greatly and are not treated as poc bc they are not dark skinned

Exactly true—by all sides Asians are not considered white nor are we considered POC by the majority. So what are we? We’re not the “other”, we are the “neither”.

And there YOU go dismissing the lives experience of people who are continually treated like shit by the political right. That will only work until whites are the minority. Enjoy the swan song, cause the end of your privilege is coming.

When whites are in the minority the alliance between all the other minorities will end that’s when the real fun starts. Unfortunately there will be no more white countries to invade. Good luck

That's true. I've asked this question before and only get 'you're a racist for an answer'. It is: where, in what country, city, etc. do things in general, improve, as the white population declines?

I’ll tell you why Democrats overlook them. They are educated, have a strong work ethic, strong family ties. They don’t need government handouts like some minorities have been addicted to. Please leave the Asians alone. They are a model for other minorities.

Sorry if I offended anyone. From my perspective Eastern culture values family and education more than the West. The West has helped to destroyed the family unit in favor of government handouts and support. We need to reverse this trend.
