"So who is responsible for us? Who will determine our fate?" More than 2,000 women and children from Europe, the Mideast and the U.S. are being detained in sweltering camps in northern Syria — and no one knows what to do with themhttps://nyti.ms/2zcOHiX

Does ANY RESPONSIBILITY lie with OWN husbands who forced them into this misery?? Or with the mullahs and islamofascist clerics who misled their husbands??? What is @nytimes even talking about!

You didn't bother to read the piece, evidently. Their "own husbands" are dead. That's why they are in the camps.

So is Hitler, and by your ‘logic’ he is thus absolved of all responsibility?? Wow!

I have not absolved anyone of anything. Hitler's wife died with him, and he had no children.

What's going on inside that head of yours? Going on about wives and jails blah blah...when all I said was that it is their husbands who have led them into this fate. You are literally squirming away from that into all sorts of avenues and forcing attributions on others.

No-one is disputing that their husbands got them into this mess. The problem is that although the husbands are now dead, no-one wants to get them out of it.

They need to sweat it out for a while. The children are innocent if they’re younger than 5. The women are untrustworthy as are older kids.

I'm sorry, but "everyone is allowed to make mistakes" does not apply when discussing giving material or spiritual support to a brutal inhuman movement like ISIS..Adults should be held responsible..Just get the kids somewhere safe.

In the old days, the US had boots on the ground to help these people as they did the Vietnamese, but journalism destroyed the commitment, and you guys know it. You think you are bigger than elected administrations...and have created a horror show.

Trump would prob employ me as his principle media advisor. I wrote a book about that too but when he got elected, I shelved it. Prophetic insight into the end of my beloved America.

Just like fascist Chumpcon is doing to refugees in internment camps in sweltering heat, who would have thought that in 2018 the illegal president would start imitating murdered leaders like Assad

I'm not without compassion, especially for the kids. But the attitude '“Of course we made mistakes, but anyone can make a mistake”' makes me wonder... There seems to be more self-pity than remorse
