Today we continue to weep for those lost to war, regardless of which side they serve. Americans are our most valuable resource, we need to protect them from those who desire to make money over thriving in peace.

Was the next article in this 1863 Times about a transgendered male competing as a girl in a track and field meet and winning?

Brave union soldiers; they were so brave that they carried spectators to watch them in battles with the evil confederate

It is a great insult to the Union soldiers sacrifice to continue to display and promote the Confederate statues such as Jefferson Davis, Robert E Lee, Jackson, etc. The Union Soldiers died to save the Union whereas the Confederate was to destroy it.

How very sad a journalistic duty this Gettysburg reporter had on this day. No one should have to report on the death of their own beloved child, whether he’s a young adult or not.Thank you for reminding us that reporters’ sacrifices go way back in our history. 💔
