        Honestly, I don’t see it as bashing. When I lived in Niagara Falls for 2yrs I was amazed at how long the US displays went on for (I lived on the CA side). You guys sure put on beautiful fireworks displays! (Coming from a Liberal). 😉

        I value highly what the 4th of July commemorates, but I dislike fireworks as they seem to reflect the worst of American values: loud, noisy patriotism.
