Of course it went to penalties. And of course everyone expected England to lose. Because England always loses when it goes to penalties. But this a new England. https://nyti.ms/2tSFLu0 pic.twitter.com/Si2EJgVCPM

Not a fair game in which the referee worked to eliminate Colombia. England shouldn't need to cheat. Shame on FIFA.

It was Colombia that were the cheating bastards. Disgraceful sportsmanship, should have had more than one player sent off. Even Cheating trying to ruin the penalty spot. You should hang your head on shame mate.

England played good, fair and disciplined. They showed Columbia up for what they were,a cheating lying cowardly side. I'm so proud of England.

Arbitro pésimo ya que anula un gol sin razón y marca un penal que no era ya que el inglés cometió falta primero y teniendo el VAR para revisar "toda" la jugada no lo hizo. Lamentable.

I had no hope for @England when it came to penalties and i bid them farewell after the extra time was over. I was surprised to see them pull it off at the penalties. Well done #ENG

Scraped through is the word; however, apart from the Biting syndrome, they withstood it all and justice prevailed; I allow myself a bottle of good Ale per week and that I am keeping for Saturday. bring it on!!
