In the week since Justice Kennedy announced his retirement, the future of Roe v. Wade has dominated the conversation. But the future of gay marriage has gotten much less attention.https://nyti.ms/2tRAItR

And yet evangelical church leaders glibly act they don’t encourage their congregation to vote for GOP candidates (even one as reprehensible as Trump).

Because that is a bell that cannot easily be un-rung. People are already married, invested, raising children, etc. LGBTQ Americans hold HUGE financial leverage, and they will use it.

There are inheritance issues and rights of survivorship issues. There are health insurance issues. Issues such as medical and end of life decision making. We didn't fight for the right to hold hands in frigging public. We fought for the right to be citizens.

The Supreme Court is about to lose ALL AUTHORITY. States make their own laws & "Federal Law" will be overturned by them, or else no one will obey it. Prez Humpty Dumpty has destroyed the actual power of the Fed. The Supreme Court is as absurd as the Electoral College. CORRUPT.

You'd be mad too, if you lived here. We have a moron for president who is stealing everything that isn't nailed down. He's caging children and even stealing THEM from their parents. He's a monster. But he'll be gone soon.

Perhaps that has been true, but it is quickly changing. The USA is under attack from within. It is becoming stupid, embarrassing and not free. I do believe that the majority of Americans are good and we'll triumph soon enough.

As the article mentions, reversal of Obergefell Is unlikely. Instead there will be a consistent chipping away of rights under the guise of “ religious freedom”. The consequence being Obergefell becomes a victory in name only.

Where in the constitution does it say it is ok to kill baby's? That is what the supreme court is there for.. Let the states decide. And is that all you small minded people care about?

Nowhere in the constitution does it say it’s ok to kill babies. What it says & what Roe v Wade upheld were a women’s rights to privacy & freedom from gov interference granted in the 9th and 14th Amendments. That’s just like saying 2nd Amendment says it’s okay to shoot up schools
