This is more about China making the US lose face. China could not care less about its travelers, whether they are at home or abroad. This is gamesmanship.

BTW I used to live in China. My life was WAY more at risk by riding their trains (due to safety and train robbers) than it ever is in my workplace, my children's school, or tourist sites. But that's not newsworthy, and that's not in the Chinese government's interests.

That's what I say to my kids (we're in Europe), because it seems to be true... Not one week without the report of a shooting in the USA : at a school, at a newsroom, etc.

As long as they stay away from the large Democrat controlled cities (where they have the strictest gun rules and no one can have a gun except the criminals) they’ll be fine.

Missouri has super lax gun laws and is still amongst the most dangerous cities. Plus I’m for Teachers having guns. Murder isn’t political.

Says the country who has been and still is one of the biggest offenders of human rights that this world has ever seen. China doesn’t care about it’s citizens. It’s posturing.

Despite their human rights issues, their murder rate is more than 5x lower than ours. Gun violence in the U.S. is undoubtedly a concern and should be. Understanding this reality doesn’t mean we should take everyone’s guns away.

Listening to China is the same thing as listening to Trump telling us to be Christian and moral. It’s a joke. Gun deaths aren’t even epidemic in the country. Opioid deaths are. Obesity is epidemic which leads to heart problems and diabetes. These are bigger killers than guns

The Chinese citizens are more likely to be imprisoned, shot, or killed by the Chinese government than shot in America while they’re traveling yet out government isn’t talking shit and throwing out falsities. Haha.
