Merkel is not the incarnation of Europe and European ideals, you damn muck-rakers. If anything is at "risk" here, it's Merkel's career and/or the future of the European nations. Immigration has brought nothing but problems, crime and segregation.

Looks like Dt’s populism is sweeping through Europe. Even the Germans want their sovereignty back. Immigration is destroying the left from the USA to Hungary to Italy to Britain to now hopefully Germany

Nice job. Two things concern me: 1.Symbolism - Hungary as in Austria-Hungary the Triple Alliance WW1? It felt like the nod was there alluding to how far back in history & this move will take the EU (and the whole world with it)! 2.White old men again send us backward, no progress

Horst Seehofer & CSU are playing with fire trying 2 score points in the next Bavarian elections - It's unclear if they actually want to topple Merkel or just wound her severely. Either way, it's bad news 4 Germany & EU. Seehofer should make good on his resignation offer & quit.

Good news for Merkel and May, who are caught in the middle of a contrived mess neither caused. Selective border controls is an absolute for any sovereign country to sustain itself, one size doesn't fit all, especially when Nazi elements hiding in the background causing mischief.

For sure one good thing about this mess, Europe will never be the same with such a swing in newer demographics, to the benefit of her future?
