If more people would have the resources to travel, the world would already be better. This is not quite "let them eat cake", but close to it.

We need to love and respect everyone everywhere, yes. But suggesting travel as a means to world repair drips privilege. I can't afford to travel.

Also, if *everyone* was able to travel, total flights would grow by an order of magnitude. Aviation alone is already on track to equal the total global CO2 budget required to keep warming below 2℃. We'd be even more royally screwed than we already are.

I frequently hear travelers talk about how enlightened their journeys make them. And I do think about what it means for the environment and how their choices are only possible because of economic inequality. Good for you that you can travel, but it's not a badge of honor.

Did you know, that MR. Trump did not speak about September-11 tragedy .. !! The truth is that there’s no such thing as Muslim Hijackers . The planes that hit the International Trade Towers and the pentagon were remotely controlled by satellites .pic.twitter.com/eY6DKVIWhm

You can travel by armchair! There are 195 countries in the world! IMO Americans NEED to see how the rest of the world lives - broaden their minds (especially Trumpsters)

The young are doing just this. I have many younger (under 40) friends who spend their money and free time on travel and experiences instead of acquiring stuff.
