Residents of the Iraqi town of Tel Kaif were used to having to pay bribes to get help from Iraqi police. But when ISIS took over, they prosecuted the pettiest of crimes swiftly and efficiently.https://nyti.ms/2tNKJbn

The fact that hundreds of civilians filed complaints with ISIS seeking redress for the most minor of issues suggests that at least a portion of the population believed the terrorist group would do right by themhttps://nyti.ms/2tNGD2M

One of ISIS’s first priorities when capturing a new area was to win the trust and cooperation of the civilians, whose labor and good will were essential to their state, according to a researcher at Yale https://nyti.ms/2tNGD2M pic.twitter.com/b9H9W0b3sG

That's nice, but were poultry thefts "resolved" by roasting the culprit on a grill or something like that?

Interesting how improvements in social capital (rules and norms) by ISIS won the group respect in the eyes of local citizens in the cities they took over. Strong social capital is a major component of percieved well-being. Enough to make ISIS seem ok.

ISIS prosecuted everything and everybody. Everyone and everything had to be at their command. They were the true criminals, having all the rights they chose, even bribing.

This subject is in no way News worthy. It goes only to AID & BENEFIT AN ENEMY OF THE UNITED STATES. If ISIS fighters were such a support and comfort to the Iraqi people they would be flocking to ISIS held territorie So blatantly partisan and irresponsible as journalist
