@susancollins Sadly, I have come to think of Collins as another @JeffFlake . I used to call both offices(esp. during DeVos, Pruitt and other confirmations/bills before Congress). They both talk a good game but when it comes to a vote, they almost always vote as a Trumpeter!

No, but she will vote for someone who gives her a vague non-answer then does exactly that. Same drill as trusting McConnell for “assurances” over healthcare. Not buying it.

@SenatorCollins is a liar. She already voted for #Gorsuch. @nytimes could’ve saved ink & bites by writing: “Maine Senator Susan Collins lied to the media again when, over the weekend, she stated she would not vote for a #SCOTUS nominee who would vote to overturn Roe v. Wade.”

While I agree that she needs called out, that’s not a headline they can print. What they could have said is “Collins States She Won’t Support Pro-Life SCOTUS Nominee, Despite Supporting Last Pro-Life SCOTUS Nominee.”

        You’re right. Except #Gorsuch and other such ghouls aren’t “Pro-Life,” just Anti-Roe and Anti-Woman. @SenatorCollins #SusanCollins @SenSchumer _

Wrong headline. No nominee will SAY that. Every one put up by Trump will DO that. And Collins knows it.

Translation: Susan Collins will vote for anyone on Trump’s list who have all been pre-vetted to overturn Roe V Wade. As long as they don’t openly express it in a hearing, which they won’t.

I don't believe a word out of her mouth. She caved on the #TaxScamBill and she will cave on this. Her word is meaningless. She has proven that.

You can be a pro life person all you want, but you can’t force people into your view and force women into having no say in the matter. Abortion is a right, you take that away because of what you believe, that makes you a dictator, and goes against democracy

You can say all you want that life begins at conception, but babies do not become legal residents of this world until they are born. They have no name, no birth certificate, no records. They are not legal residents of this world until they are born

@SenatorCollins: They ALL would. Pre-screened for that. Try saying no just based on the idea that he’s under criminal investigation and shouldn’t appoint a justice who might have a hand in determining his fate. What defendant gets to pick his judge?
